Services, packing and shipping

Based between Antwerp and Brussels we provide our export services in the BeNeLux region, northern part of France and western part of Germany

You can send your personal effects and household goods, even small furniture in luggage’s, suitcases and good quality boxes (double walled and not too big – you can procure with us these top quality boxes). We do not accept plastic bags or plastic boxes (though we can make an exception for a single plastic box or bag).

We do accept commercial goods in road transport.

Yes we do offer storage after collection. We store your goods in our warehouse in Belgium.

We collect your boxes, suitcases and other items from your residence. If you have goods to pack, do not hesitate to alert us prior to collection, we will do the packing. In our warehouse we palletise/crate the shipment.

After that your shipment will be loaded onto a truck and transported to the destination address where these are offloaded from the truck.

For road transport we use standard euro size pallets. A standard euro pallet is 120*80. We stack theses pallets up to 200 cm from the ground if the goods permit this.

We do have bigger pallets for larger goods (e.g. TV’s, bikes,…). Goods cannot stick out the pallet. A bigger pallet will increase the price only slightly compared to a second pallet. Therefore we also use bigger pallets to optimize the volume of the shipment.

Yes, the whole world transports on pallets. Your shipment isn’t that much different. The shipment is wrapped in non-see-thru plastic stretch film.

We do not have crates standard in our warehouse. That would take up too much space and would cost too much. There isn’t much demand for transporting in crates because it is more expensive.

We build the crates when we need them.

A standard crate of 3m³ costs 250 euro a 6m³ crate costs 350 euro.

We do not prefer this but it is possible that we take your pallet with us upon collection.

We do not accept plastic bags or plastic boxes. Plastic boxes are for storage, these are not suitable for loose transport.

We do make an exception for a single bag or box.

Boxes for sale

Pack your belongings in good quality boxes. Make sure the boxes are well packed, not half empty – not too full, not too heavy (max 25 kg).

If you choose to send fragile items you must ensure the items are packaged thoroughly and appropriately for transportation. Your suitcases and boxes are stacked onto a pallet or inside a crate and transported with fork lifts and trucks.

Since we do a personal collection we do offer to pack your (fragile) belongings.

When you use a box, use a double walled, not too big. You can get boxes from us. Use a pellet friendly box 40*60 to optimize the space on a pallet measuring 120*80.

Please note when sending outside of the EU each country may have its own additional list of prohibited items for customs and security reasons, it is the sender’s responsibility to ensure they comply with international customs.

If you include these items in you shipment security or customs may pick it out. All costs will be for your account.

Inside the EU you can send everything (no dangerous goods off course).

Liquids, pastes and gels such as shower gel, makeup and toothpaste can be sent. Please ensure there is no possibility of liquids leaking.

Please note when sending outside of the EU each country may have its own list of prohibited items for customs and security reasons, it is the sender’s responsibility to ensure they comply with international customs.

We are unable to accept bin liners and laundry bags on our service as these are difficult to stack onto a pallet. In the same category are plastic storage boxes, such as those used under beds or in garages. In our experience, these are also too fragile and are likely to crack or fracture during transit.

We do make an exception for one single bag or so (to be placed on top of the pallet).

We offer top quality boxes, double walled (60cmx40cmx30cm – 0,072m³), please check our info on how obtaining our top quality boxes.

Electrical items can be sent using our service, however, require additional packaging when placed in a suitcase or a box.

Yes! All kinds of sports equipment can be sent.

We strongly recommend your bike, golf clubs, skis, snowboards, surfboards and all other sports equipment is packaged thoroughly in line with manufacturer guidelines and sent inside a freight approved travel case.

If a freight approved case is not available, placing the equipment first in a standard soft sided or hard-shell carry case and then securely packaging this case within a double walled cardboard box is recommended (but not obligatory). For carry cases that may not fit in a standard square box, such as golf clubs or skis use cardboard as wrapping.

Fruit & vegetables, dairy products (including dried products containing dairy such as protein powder), meat, fish, nuts, seeds and perishable products of any kind are prohibited on all routes.

Non-perishable foodstuffs and small amounts of liquids such as olive oil (alcohol based and flammable liquids are not acceptable) can be sent.

Confectionery and other dry foodstuffs (not containing dairy and not of animal origin) such as sweets, chocolate, cookies, biscuits & crisps are typically permitted for entry into most countries.

(non-EU) Individual customs authorities may reject and return packages containing any foodstuffs not permitted for entry into their country at their discretion, or in some cases, again at their discretion, they may remove and dispose of the offending item, as such we recommend checking the destination’s customs website for more information.

Yes!

Musical instruments such as guitars should be prepared for transit within the manufacturer’s guidelines. In the first instance this may include steps such as de-tensioning strings and providing additional support for areas such as a guitar’s neck within the case. You should also ensure the instrument fits snuggly within the case and take care to pad and protect any vulnerable areas.

Yes, you can ship batteries, small amounts for personal use only.

You can certainly send clothes and other items purchased abroad however just as when you arrive at any airport, do be aware the customs (only to Switzerland and Norway is this -very small- possibility) authority reserves the right to charge local duty and taxes on any imports of items purchased abroad (but customs would not know this if it is not in the original wrapping or if the tags are removed).

All EU countries + overseas EU territories (Malta, Cyprus, Corsica, …), Switzerland and Norway.

The total cost of a road transport shipment is based on the volume, number of pallets , destination and special services (e.g. packing).

Please request your quote thru this online form. We will send you our best prices as soon as possible.

Place all the items in a stack and measure the length, width, and height. Convert into meters and multiply.

Example: 120cm x 80cm x 175cm.

1,2 x 0,8 x 1,75 = 1,68m³

Now imagine this on pallet, +/- 15cm from the ground and you have a full pallet.

You want to receive a quotation, please fill out the quotation form.

Your shipment will depart after we receive payment of our invoice. From that moment it will take 5-12 days depending on destination country (and customs for some non-EU destinations).

Please request your quote thru this online form. We will send you our best prices as soon as possible.

No, there’s no economy service…this is already an economy service compared to a direct move with a moving crew.

Please request your quote thru this online form. We will send you our best prices as soon as possible.

We can provide you with a quote based on general volume and weight. If you wish us to calculate the exact cost based on the exact dimensions, please contact us by email with a list of all weights and dims. Be aware that boxes tend to bulge out, you need to take into account the bulge as well.

If you measure all the items individually, please take into account to add 20% to the volume of each item to calculate the total volume (certainly if all the items are of different size) that is to compensate the volume loss when stacking onto a pallet.

Please request your quote thru this online form. We will send you our best prices as soon as possible.

We ask you to book a few days in advance. If you have a specific collection date and time, or at the end of the month, you probably should book a bit sooner. We can even collect the next day, sometimes even the same day.

Please request your quote thru this online form. We will send you our best prices as soon as possible.

You can send an item of maximum 70 kg. Heavier than that we cannot lift it on the pallet.

Preparing your items

Suitcases

We cannot be held responsible for damage to unprotected bags, – no high value suitcases please.

Hard shell suitcases vary considerably by manufacturer with many focusing on ensuring the suitcase is light weight rather than engineered for robust protection. Our recommendation is to opt for a soft sided suitcase when available.

Boxes

Boxes are welcome but must be sturdy cardboard boxes designed to hold the weight packed. Boxes should be secured by running tape across the folded flaps at the top and bottom, as well as in a loop around the box from back to front and from side to side. We also suggest running tape along the seams of boxes. Only taping across the folded flaps is not sufficient.

Plastic boxes are only used for storage. Single walled boxes can only be loaded with very light items (e.g. pillows, clothing).

Make sure when you pack the box the goods are secured, and do not ‘rattle’ inside the box. You can use towels, clothing, padding paper or bubble wrap to protect the goods inside the box.

We offer top quality boxes, double walled (60cmx40cmx30cm – 0,072m³), please check our info on how obtaining our top quality boxes.
